I fabricated this functional custom wrench for a friend. This was my first serious CNC mill project.
Machined in aluminum and steel to learn how to use the Matsuura MC-500 formerly located at the Artisan’s Asylum.
I had to make a fixture plate for the first time.
I wrote a post processor for HSMWorks in Solidworks to generate the g-code from the CAD. There were some things the post processor code could not be written to do, so I wrote a translator in Python to finish the last couple steps.
