Nuvu – Reimagining Bicycle Safety Gear – 2013
Let’s face it, bicycle safety gear tends to be ugly. In this studio students tried to reimagine ways of creating innovative alternatives for bicycle safety gear that were both functional and fashionable. Techniques were used like retroreflective fabric, retroreflective paint, LEDs and robotics to create aesthetically attractive new ways to increase safety on the road.
The textile hacking portion was led by Tess Aquarium and the electronics portion was led by me.
